News - ?Low-Carbohydrate Danger?

In the UK, a case of ketoacidosis lead to a woman being hospitalized. This article states that the low-carbohydrate Atkins diet caused the ketoacidosis. The doctors reporting this case of low-carbohydrate diet side-effects admitted that this severe case is rare. And in yet another article, the low-carb dieter was reported to also have pancreatitis, which they admitted probably contributed to the ketoacidosis. Well, I guess so!! The pancreas produces insulin, and inflammation of the pancreas leads to all sorts of serious problems. (The pancreatitis was not linked to the low-carbohydrate diet).
